Maker Fair Minnesota started in 2012 to celebrate handcrafted arts and foods. The first Maker Fair MN event featured 20 artisans with 200 shoppers. In its 11th year in 2023, Maker Fair Minnesota had grown to include about 200 artisans and attracted almost 5,000 shoppers.

The event features a large all-handcrafted fair showcasing artisans selling everything from knitting to stained glass, upcycled furniture to soap, jewelry to pottery, home décor to clothing. Meet the makers and start your holiday shopping by buying local, one of a kind creations.

Maker Fair Minnesota kicks off with Goodie Bags filled with coupons and samples from our makers distributed to the first 50 adult shoppers at 9 AM. Get there early, though! Shoppers are so eager to get their bags, they start lining up early. Following the adult Goodie Bags, 50 youth Goodie Bags filled with coupons and samples made for a younger crowd are handed out to the first 50 youth shoppers in line. Shop the handmade maker booths, grab a bite to eat from one of many local food trucks, and enjoy the atmosphere of the Nicollet County Fairgrounds.
