At Ledge Rock Wood Design, I am passionate about creating artisan cutting and charcuterie boards where art meets function. I believe in using only the natural colors of various hard woods to produce stunning beauty, yet highly functional, durable, food prep products. I take pride in my craftsmanship, and all materials used in the construction process are food safe. I am dedicated to providing my customers with unique, high-quality products that are both practical and beautiful.
Root River Baskets
Root River Baskets are made using a coiling technique. First, strips of fabric are wrapped around a rope, then stitched by a sewing machine into all the different shapes and sizes. The stone on each basket is unique… each stone has a NATURAL hole! The stones are found on the rock bars of the Root River in SE Minnesota. My name is Garrett Kopka, Owner of G.KopkArt. I was born and raised in Southern Minnesota. Artistic talent surrounded me growing up, there was always some level of creativity running amuck. I always had a fancy for patterns, and optical illusions when I was younger. Nowadays I spend my time creating, somedays tie dye, others acrylics on stretched canvas or other cutouts. Many of my acrylic creations are blacklight reactive, some even glow in the dark! See you there!
