Root River Baskets

Root River Baskets are made using a coiling technique. First, strips of fabric are wrapped around a rope, then stitched by a sewing machine into all the different shapes and sizes. The stone on each basket is unique… each stone has a NATURAL hole! The stones are found on the rock bars of the Root River in SE Minnesota.
