Intarsia is creating Mosaics in wood by using individual cut out pieces of wood to create a Mosaic. Each piece of wood used is a natural color of wood or exotic wood. In some cases there are no color substitutes so natural dyes are used, such as blue. Each piece of wood is cut out individually by a scrollsaw, sanded and shaped to create the depth needed for the design.

I do lots of things, I focus on painting furniture and seasonal florals. I dabble in painting windows and etc., birdseed wreaths, wedding flowers, spruce top pots and anything I can grow and decorate with.

We make a ghost pepper sauce that is sweet because we add local raspberries and finishes with a little heat with peppers that our grown in our garden. Our sauce is so versatile that you can use it as an appetizer, dipping sauce, a glaze for your meats or roasted vegetables, or use as an add in enhancement to your favorite hotdish.

Our shop started as two Minnesota sisters and has now expanded to include the woman who inspired us (and taught us how to knit, of course) – our amazing Mom! Each of us has a unique perspective on what we choose to knit, which allows us to have a wide variety of styles at any budget. Between the three of us, our hands are always busy! From hats with faux fur pom-poms to scarves, cowls, shawls, mittens, décor, and more, all of our handmade items are made from quality yarns and fabrics.
Winding River is stained glass multimedia mosaic art. We love using old snowshoes, satellite dishes, antiques, and old window frames, to create one of a kind mosaic art. Stained glass is used in 90% of the design, however, we may add driftwood, rocks, shells and jewelry findings to add a bit of pizzazz to our designs. We also create copperfoil method stain glass suncatchers using glass and Northshore driftwood. Suncatchers in a window can add dancing light to any room.
Handcrafted wooden household and gift items including but not limited to games, canes and quilting accessories. All products are fine woods with a high quality finish. Many items are unique and are the maker’s own design. One of the most popular games is “fast track” which is highly played among the seniors in the retirement communities. It is an easy game and would work well for children also. New items pictured here are a unique cutting board, Penny Drop and Memory Chess games.
